How are you all tracking competitive signals for portfolio companies? Looking to compare notes on research process Curious what workflows people here use for ongoing competitive monitoring, specifically for fintech
I've been building out a system that pulls from SEC filings, job posting changes, and app store sentiment automatically. The job posting angle has been surprisingly useful, hiring surges in specific departments often signal strategic shifts 6-9 months before they show up in earnings. For example noticed Stripe opened 54 engineering roles in Bengaluru in a single week recently coordinated enough to suggest infrastructure buildout rather than opportunistic hiring.
What sources do you rely on most? And how do you handle the signal to noise problem, most monitoring tools I've seen surface way too much noise.
